Pick towers
Pick Towers maximize cubic warehouse space, reduce operator travel, and support simultaneous picking across multiple levels — delivering the throughput of a larger operation within the footprint of an existing one.
Pick towers are built on the straightforward premise that this vertical space is as valuable as the floor beneath it, and that using it well removes the need to expand outward or invest in a larger building.
The system stacks storage across multiple levels within a defined footprint, with conveyors, lifts, or pass-through workflows connecting each tier to the picking operation below. Products are organized by velocity, SKU profile, or workflow logic across the levels, and operators work at defined pick zones rather than traveling through long horizontal aisles. The building does not get bigger. The operation inside it does.
The configuration adapts to the operation. Shelving types, bin sizes, and level heights are specified around the SKU profiles and order patterns in use, and the integration of conveyors or vertical lifts is determined by throughput requirements and workflow logic. Where one level is being picked, another can be replenished — keeping the system productive across the full working shift without creating bottlenecks.
Pick towers are a natural fit for high-volume distribution, e-commerce, fulfillment, and retail operations where both space and speed are under pressure. They offer a cost-effective alternative to concrete mezzanines, maximizing existing cubic space before committing to major capital investment.
