Drive-In / Drive-Through Racking
SPAN Drive-In and Drive-Through Racking is a high-density, cost-effective solution designed for warehouses handling homogeneous goods with large pallet volumes per SKU. It maximizes storage capacity, optimizes floor and vertical space, and ensures safe, efficient operations.
Warehouse space is always under pressure. As volumes grow and storage demands increase, the instinct is to expand outward — more aisles, more square meters, more complexity. But in most operations, that option does not exist. The challenge is not finding more space. It is using the space already available more intelligently.
Drive-In and Drive-Through Racking addresses that challenge directly. Remove the individual access aisles between conventional pallet racking bays and allow forklifts to enter the rack structure itself.
Pallets are stored in deep lanes, supported by continuous guide rails. In a drive-in configuration, loading and retrieval happen from the same aisle. In a drive-through configuration, pallets enter from one side and exit from the other — supporting first-in, first-out flow where the operation requires it.
Maximize Space. Move Faster. Store Smarter
The system suits operations where density is the priority and SKU variety is limited. Rack depth and height are configurable to the warehouse and pallet types in use, and the choice between single-aisle and dual-aisle layouts means the system fits the existing operational flow rather than demanding a redesign around it.
In temperature-controlled environments, the compact footprint reduces the volume of space that must be cooled or frozen — a saving that compounds over time. Each lane holds a single SKU, which keeps stock control simple. And because the system accommodates a wide range of pallet sizes and weights, it slots into existing operations without disruption.
