Context:

With the recent transformation of e-commerce, Aramex was facing a surge in demand posed by online orders and growth in omni-channel fulfillment requirements. To meet the challenges of the increased order profile diversity and volumes, Aramex opted to invest in a new state of the art 3PL fulfillment center that would improve and streamline their operations in the Kingdom.

We are delighted that Aramex, a longtime partner of SPAN, elected to work with us again for the implementation of various storage solutions for their facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Approach:

From the early stages of the project, SPAN worked hand in hand with Aramex to deliver a comprehensive facility design. True to form, SPAN held several meetings with Aramex Senior Management to ensure the vision was fully understood. SPAN also set up meetings with the Operations Team throughout the endeavor to validate that all their requirements were being met.

The tailored solution includes standard selective pallet racking system, G+4 multi-tier mezzanine system for the storage of bins and merchandise, as well as powered material lifts and gravity chutes for the efficient movement of products across the different floors.

Result:

The customized solution was delivered on spec, on time and exceeded Aramex’s expectations. With the new state of the art fulfilment center, Aramex will be able to seamlessly meet its ambitious storage capacity and throughput goals.
